WHAT WILL YOUR LITTLE BUSINESS BE?
Make it, bake it, grow it or give something once loved a new home. Choose a small collection you can prepare comfortably.
Classic lemonade, mint lemonade or a simple fruit cooler.
Cookies, mini cupcakes, brownies or homemade chocolate packets.
Friendship bracelets, bead keychains, bag charms and loom bands.
Bookmarks, greeting cards, mini paintings, magnets or painted pebbles.
Seedlings in painted pots, small plants or tiny flower bouquets.
Preloved books, complete puzzles, clean toys or costumes.
Popcorn cones, fruit cups, simple sandwiches, a sweet shop or little gift boxes. Keep the menu short. Plan covered portions, ingredient labels and appropriate storage with an adult.
Origami, clay creations, pom pom toys, decorated pencils, paper flowers and handmade stationery. Older children could offer crochet. Candles or soaps should be made beforehand with a knowledgeable adult.
Older children may enjoy simple face painting, temporary tattoos or braids and beads. These need parent supervision, suitable products and the customer’s parent’s agreement.
Suggested price points: ₹20 · ₹30 · ₹50 · ₹75 · ₹100. Larger handmade pieces might be ₹150 or ₹200. Work out your costs first.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Decorate a shop sign, greet a neighbour or hand over a purchase. A grown up can help with preparation and counting money.
Plan a small budget, make or select products and track sales. Share the jobs of shopkeeper and cashier with your partner.
Browse the stalls, cheer on the children or bring something to the Giveaway Corner.
MAKE THE PREPARATION PART OF THE FUN
A borrowed table can become a proper little counter with a painted cardboard front, two light supports, a short striped awning and a clear shop sign.
Keep it about 3 to 4 feet wide, with products at a comfortable height. Adults should handle cutting, assembly and securing the structure.
Check your allocated space before building. Tables, shared materials and other inclusions will be confirmed with registration.

WHAT CHILDREN TAKE HOME
Introduce their shop, speak to a customer and explain their work.
Make choices, solve small problems and see a project through.
Understand cost, price, sales, change and profit through real transactions.
Share roles, take turns and handle a quiet spell or a busy moment.
Record the money raised and see how shopping at the market can help children at an orphanage.
Success can be one brave hello, one handmade product or one happy customer. Every child’s effort counts.
